About Us

Rising Stars Football Academy was founded in 2013 in the heart of Birmingham, by myself, Zamal Nasir Uddin, with the help and support of devoted family, friends and active community members. The academy will focus on training young people from all ethnic backgrounds to reach their highest potential and pursue their passion for football. The academy is open to boys and girls aged 4 to 16.

I have been playing football since the age of 8 and have been involved in football for over 25 years, both playing and coaching. Due to my passion and hard work, I was fortunate to be spotted by a scout from Walsall FC. I played with the youth team of Walsall academy for 6 years which helped develop my career within this professional academy. This led me to play for the reserve team and also make several appearances for the first team, and then pursue my football career with other well recognised clubs.

I had to retire from playing football due to a serious injury; however this did not stop my passion for the game. Since my break from playing, I have coached and managed many youth teams around the West Midlands. After my experience in a professional youth academy, I have now decided to put all the experience gained into practice and open Rising Stars Academy for children around the West Midlands promoting the same values and professionalism as other professional football academies.

Our aim is to keep young people off the streets to avert them from drugs, alcohol, gang culture and crime. We want to give a chance to youngsters who have the potential to achieve and to be successful. We aim to provide expert football training sessions with FA qualified coaches ranging from FA Level 1 to Level 3 alongside coaches with UEFA A/B license. We anticipate delivering a high standard of efficient and practical training that will motivate youngsters and help promote their confidence and develop them into keen learners with the support of professional football clubs throughout the West Midlands.

Rising Stars will support young people to achieve their goals and acquire life skills for the future with a strong network of team members ranging from sporting, educational and youth development backgrounds, hoping to find the first professional footballers from our academy that represents our community and hoping to pave the path for many more........

Kind Regards,

 Nasir
